A Year of Poems – Day 230

Bottle a day in its waning hours
Catch the drifting thought in a bottle
Stir quickly with two to three memories
Leave in a covered container to ferment.
Return in two to three weeks to rack the mixture
Removing excess words floating at the bottom
Let it percolate and refine.
If it clears, cork it, shelve it,
‘Til the memories can be drunk and shared.
