A Year of Poems – Day 177

This story will end at an ocean
With more stories by the sea
Told by the flickering firelight
Of the dying rising flame.

All stories will end at an ocean
Where the gulls will dip and dive
And the buried crabs will come to play
As the water is burnt up.

These little things will still remain
As the oceans are refilled
We will sit on the beach and tell the tale
Of our journeys on this shore.
